There are many techniques which you can use to
market your business and/or products. We'll discuss of few of
them here. Keep in mind there are no right or wrong answers.
The correct marketing campaign for you will depend on your
expectations, your time investment, and your budget.
Whatever method you use to market, you will need to
find a way to track your results to determine whether your funds are
being well spent. Any marketing promotion must ultimately
justify its expense. In other words, you need to be earning
more money on your marketing campaigns than you are spending.
As long as you have a system in place to track your
responses, it's not unreasonable to try more than one method of
marketing at one time.
Most advertising methods should follow two steps:
1) a "call to action", and 2) an offer. Your "call to action"
should be designed to get your prospect to visit your website.
It should create curiosity and promise a solution to a problem, an
answer to a question, or some other teaser to get your prospect
interested. Once your prospect answers your "call to action",
you can make your offer. However, before you actually make
your sales pitch, you may want to consider trying to collect your
prospects e-mail address so that you can continue to follow-up with
them. Many visitors do not make a purchase on their first
visit, but if you can get them to give you their e-mail address you
can continue to follow-through with them and build trust. You
can also offer multiple products or services to your prospect once
their information is captured.
Pre-selling your prospective client is another task
you should seriously consider instituting between your "call to
action" and your offer. We will be covering this topic in much
greater depth a little later.
